These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sentinel service ("Service") operated at sentinelofficial.co.uk ("Website"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

Sentinel is a quantitative intelligence platform that monitors public companies using multiple data sources and analytical models. The Service delivers daily scored intelligence briefings via email and a web dashboard. Reports include quantitative scores, anomaly detection, regime analysis, AI-generated narratives, and other analytical outputs.

AI-generated content is produced using large language models (including Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT). The Service aggregates publicly available and licensed data from government databases, financial APIs, news sources, social media platforms, prediction markets, and other third-party providers.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You may maintain only one account per person
  • By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must notify us immediately at william@sentinelofficial.co.uk if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Subscription and Billing

  • Free tier: no charge; watchlist limited to 10 companies
  • Paid tier: as listed on the Pricing page, billed monthly via Stripe
  • Free trial: new paid subscribers receive a 14-day free trial
  • Cancellation: you may cancel at any time via the Settings page or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • Refunds: no refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of the paid period
  • Price changes: we reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing
  • Failed payments: if a payment fails, your subscription enters a "past due" state. Continued payment failure will result in automatic cancellation

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank details. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.

5. Not Financial Advice

Sentinel is an informational and analytical tool only. Nothing in our reports, emails, dashboard, or any other output constitutes:

  • Financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
  • A recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security
  • A guarantee or prediction of future market performance

Quantitative scores, anomaly flags, regime indicators, conviction ratings, and all other analytical outputs are the products of statistical models and automated analysis. They reflect historical patterns and should not be interpreted as forecasts. Past patterns do not guarantee future results.

All investment decisions are made entirely at your own risk. You should always consult a qualified, independent financial advisor before making any investment decision.

6. AI-Generated Content

Portions of our reports and analysis are generated by large language models (LLMs), including Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading
  • AI outputs are automated and are not reviewed by a human analyst before publication
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content
  • You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it

7. Data Accuracy and Service Availability

  • All data is sourced from third-party public and licensed APIs (including SEC EDGAR, Yahoo Finance, GDELT, Financial Modeling Prep, Finnhub, and others) and may contain errors, delays, omissions, or gaps
  • We do not guarantee real-time data; most data is updated on a daily basis
  • The Service may be temporarily unavailable during scheduled maintenance, data pipeline processing windows (typically 00:15–06:15 UTC weekdays), infrastructure outages, or force majeure events
  • We provide no service-level agreement (SLA) or uptime guarantee

8. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not:

  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or commercially republish any Sentinel reports, data, or content without prior written permission
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to systematically download or extract content from the Website beyond what is provided through our intended interfaces
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or derive the source code, algorithms, scoring methodologies, or models used by the Service
  • Use the Service or any information obtained from it for market manipulation, insider trading, or any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with any third party or allow others to access your account
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service's infrastructure, servers, or networks
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with Sentinel
  • Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law or regulation

9. Intellectual Property

  • The analysis methodologies, composite scoring systems, anomaly detection ensembles, cross-signal detection algorithms, and all other proprietary analytical systems are the intellectual property of Sentinel
  • Report content, AI-generated narratives, charts, visualisations, and all other outputs are owned by Sentinel
  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Sentinel reports for your personal, non-commercial purposes only
  • All trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed on the Website are the property of Sentinel or their respective owners

10. User Data

You retain ownership of the data you provide to us (watchlist selections, portfolio preferences). By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use this data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. 11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service integrates with and relies upon third-party data providers, APIs, and infrastructure services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of any third-party service. Links to external websites or services are provided for convenience only and do not imply endorsement. Third-party services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY CONTENT

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • Sentinel and its operators, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service
  • This includes, without limitation: investment losses, trading losses, lost profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or any other intangible losses
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim
  • If you are on the free tier and have paid no fees, our maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed ten pounds sterling (£10)

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sentinel and its operators, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of any third party
  • Any investment or trading decisions you make based on information obtained from the Service

15. Termination

  • You may deactivate your account at any time via the Settings page
  • We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable
  • Upon termination: your access to the Service will be revoked, any active subscription will be cancelled, and your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Sections 5 (Not Financial Advice), 6 (AI-Generated Content), 9 (Intellectual Property), 12 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 13 (Limitation of Liability), 14 (Indemnification), and 17 (Governing Law) survive termination

16. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure outages, third-party API failures, cyberattacks, pandemics, or labour disputes.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales
  • Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
  • Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at william@sentinelofficial.co.uk

18. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and deactivate your account.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sentinel regarding your use of the Service. They supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings, whether written or oral.
